Rosemary Life

Extension Agent, Agriculture and Natural Resources

Hello, my name is Rosemary Liskey Life and I currently serve as the Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent with a focus in crop and soil sciences.  While I am housed in Rockingham County, I will also serve Augusta, Bath, Highland, and Rockbridge counties.

I grew up in Rockingham County on my family’s dairy farm and was active in 4-H and FFA growing up.  My family still farms today and I enjoy helping in my spare time.  Before this, I spent 11 years working in VCE with the 4-H Program and helped head up the Rockingham County 4-H/FFA Livestock Show & Sale Program.  During my time at VDACS, I performed necropsies on livestock animals, companion animals, exotics, and even an elephant!  My goal is to help producers and community members realize the resources that VCE has to offer and provide research-based solutions.
